According to a research more than 12000 metric tons of natural rubber was exported from India in the year 2020.
Rubber trees grow well in laterite red clay soils. Soil pH level should be between 4.5 to 6.0. June-July is the best time for planting. Rubber plants need more water. Drought makes plants weak. Therefore, they should be watered frequently. Sunlight should also be good. If you make a small hole in the bark of a rubber tree, latex will flow out. Various chemicals are added to them to make rubber. This rubber is used to make shoes, tires, engine seals, balls, elastic bands, electric appliances etc. A plant will become a tree in five years. After that rubber production starts from it. You can get income from these trees for 40 years.
Rubber farmers get financial assistance from the central government as well as the World Bank. Rubber trees growing in the wild usually reach a height of 43 meters. But those grown by farmers for commercial purposes are smaller. In this way you can also earn good income from rubber cultivation.
