The Government of Telangana has signed an agreement with Daifuku Company which has been providing customers worldwide with optimal and best solutions to enhance their global competitiveness, as a comprehensive material handling system manufacturer and integrator.
The company is setting up a manufacturing facility in Telangana at Pashamylaram. Its current facility which is 60,000 square feet will be expanding to a size of more then 2,0,000 square feet. The new facility is coming up at a cost 450 crores.
The new facility which is most likely to be built near Chandanvelly, Pashamylaram is expected to cost Rs.200 crore in its initial phase, and Daifuku intends to make it operational within the next 18 months.
Industries MInister K T Rama Rao said that wanted Industrialists to be more innovative and to make new inventions. He said that Indian entrepreneurs need to be more bold and aggressive as is no more a challenge now with the government extending all support. Using the Industrial Park at Dandumalkapur as as example, the Minister urged industrialists to compete by expanding their operations and establishing large parks in the State.
Daifuku’s Indian subsidiary Srinivas Garimella said that the company’s expansion, which will include technology transfer from Japan, will not only anticipate our localization plants but will also quicken our product development pipeline in India.
