Yes, in a village in the country of Yemen, it does not rain even once throughout the year.
Why is it not raining?
There is a village called Al-Hutaib in the western direction of Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. It is 3200 km above the earth’s surface. It is higher than the cloud region. That is in this village the clouds are under our feet. These can be easily touched by hands. This village is above the clouds, so it never rains here. It is not only that there is no rain, but the weather in Al Hutaib village is completely different. The village is covered with cold until the morning sun rises. When the sun rises, the sun burns. Once the sun goes down again the temperatures drop again.
People here are from Mumbai. : Al Hutaib village is mostly populated by Al Bohra (Al Mukarma) tribes. They are known as Yemeni communities. Another surprising thing here is that these people are from our Mumbai. They came from the Ismaili sect led by Muhammad Burhanuddin from Mumbai and settled in Al Hutaib.
A favorite spot for tourists : Being high above the clouds, this quaint village is a special attraction for tourists. Thousands of tourists come to Al Hutaib village every year to see the beautiful sight of standing on the clouds and the rain falling on the earth. They enjoy touching the rain while going down from the hill.
